Greg Franklin founded SeaMount Exploration in 2016. Mr. franklin currently oversees and participates in the generation of drilling projects as well as the evaluation of producing properties. Prior to SeaMount, Mr. Franklin was the Vice President of Exploration for Osage Exploration and Production from 2009 to 2016. Mr. Franklin worked for various E&P companies prior to that including Barbour Energy Corp., Western Natural Resources, and Gulf Coast Exploration. Mr. Franklin received his bachelor of science degree in Geology from Oklahoma State University.
Mr. Taylor is a petroleum/ environmental geologist with over 15 years of experience serving in exploration, operation, and environmental planning roles. Early in his career, he worked as an exploration geologist at B&W Exploration in Oklahoma City, where he developed prospects in East Texas, the Texas Gulf Coast, and throughout the state of Oklahoma. His work included extensive exploration/research and development in both conventional and unconventional -improved oil recovery (IOR) / enhanced oil recovery (EOR), fractured reservoirs exploration and production, and several successful unconventional oil and gas developments. More recently, Mr. Taylor was an exploration geologist at Osage Exploration and Development Company, as well as a Manager of Geology for the company. As Manager of Geology, he supervised well planning/drilling, vendor coordination, regulatory compliance, and a custom completion design processes for Osage Exploration's parent well programs. He also assisted in developing a reservoir drive maintenance program for the company's unconventional well portfolio that resulted in a 40% cumulative production increase on average to competitor operations.
In 2015, Mr. Taylor became the Director of Exploration and Development at Farallon Petroleum in Denver, Colorado. While in this position, Mr. Taylor directed the generation of major exploration projects that spanned several regions, including the Mid-Continent Region, Texas, Rocky Mountain, and Illinois regions. Mr. Taylor has also been a principal of Arrakeen Resource Ltd. Company, a company that he founded in 2015 to provide geologic and environmental consulting services to both government and oil and gas clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Oklahoma State University Boone Pickens School of Geology and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary (Human Development and Cultural Anthropology) from
the University of Oklahoma. Currently, Mr. Taylor is a 2022 candidate for the
Master of Science in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, where he was
asked to serve as a graduate research fellow in both the Reservoir Characterization Project (RCP) and the Mudrocks and Tight Oil Characterization Consortium (MUDTOC).
Morgan Hunt joined SeaMount Exploration in 2020 bringing 14 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry. Morgan provides a wide array of technical assistance and support in mapping, data acquisition, research, visual & strategic communications, and business development. Prior to SeaMount, Ms. Hunt worked at Tier Hydrocarbon Exploration and B&W Exploration. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University.
